The next update (Chapters 8 and 9) will drop this Friday, September 6! There may be some spicy 🌶️ surprises in store for you, depending on your romance route. Anything explicit is clearly marked and you can certainly further the romance/relationship without that content.

This leads me to another point. One of my beta testers is my teenage daughter, who prefers a sweet and chaste romance without what she refers to as “the kissy kissy stuff.” She mentioned that once you were on a romance route, it wasn’t always evident to her which option led to physical intimacy (such as kissing) and which did not. So now, once you’re on a romance route, any scenes with physical intimacy of any kind are marked with a ❤️. Scenes without the heart still further the romance, just without the kissy kissy stuff. ☺️

I made a few minor changes to the previous chapters but nothing terribly noticeable: I extended a scene in Chapter 6 on the no-romance route, and added more options for the MC names.

The biggest change happened in the backend. I wasn’t happy with the way I was tracking personality choices and they were getting out of hand, so I consolidated stats into personas. So, what this means is that a scene will play out X way, if you are Y persona; as opposed to if you have Y and Y and Y and Y and Y stats, which is incredibly difficult to code. This will make it easier for me to incorporate your personality into future scenes, while hopefully still keeping true to the choices you’ve made.

One final note: I have created a Tumblr account. By this I mean, it’s my first time on Tumblr and it took me an hour, AN HOUR, to design my profile, then another hour to make my first post. I am not kidding. I somehow created a post with a question and ask section and couldn’t delete it, so had to redo it. Yeah, I am THAT mom. 😭

But Tumblr seemed a more elegant way to share news and updates. Also my sister and I are always creating humorous snippets that will never make it into the actual story and I thought it may be fun to share there. If any of you are active there, I would love to connect, especially with fellow authors and creators!
