Oh gosh, I ran here when I remembered that chapter 3 was coming out today. Honestly the wait was entirely worth it. The sound that came out of my mouth at the end of the chapter wasn't even human, I'm pretty sure Holy shit!
It was cool of you to make special dialogue when I named my ferret Tellus. And that makes me extra excited for chapter 4! All the little details you added are really great!

The Iredicci are still being actively hunted. A person who “conveniently” can’t speak but can still hear would raise suspicions. It would be viewed as an obvious hiding tactic. Especially a person who can hear extremely well. Turning at every little sound, especially one from far away, yet you can’t speak? Hmm, seems sus. Pretending to be deaf adds that extra layer of protection.

I’ve thought about offering side stories and early access for those who support me through there. I’ve also considered putting Cantata behind a pay wall once it’s finished. I’m leaning towards the Ko-Fi option but I can’t say for certain at this point.

The export function appears to work fine on my end. Are you sure they’re not just getting caught up in the downloads on your device? That happens to me sometimes when playing on phone or iPad.
That’s odd. I do have a fix in the new update that allows you to scroll to the bottom of that save screen, and there’s save and load functions down there; you might not see them presently if you’re playing on mobile. That may help.

Are the Iredicci based on the Romani and other oft-persecuted itinerant groups? The whole thing about oppressed nomadic musical people really seems similar to the Romani stereotype.
Hello! The circumstances of the Iredicci are based on several different persecuted groups in history, most notably Native Americans but yes, Romani, too. Unfortunately, we have no shortage of such groups in history. :(
Culture wise, the Iredicci are a bit of a hodge podge of Italian, Romani, Hawaiian, and Persian.
I specifically picked up on the Native American stuff, in addition to the Romani; I'm glad I wasn't wrong in noticing that. Feels nice to have that given how rare it is. Really don't see much based on Native Americans
As someone who loves art, this game is everything to me, and writing like yours is what fuels me to write my own stories. I can't wait for future updates :]
Also your other game Viatica was so interesting and it had me locked in completely that I ended up finishing the entire game earlier today!

Pretty intriguing start! I've gotta say I've never seen this concept before. It's fun.
Some minor things that I think would make the game even better are tweaks in the character sheet. It feels awkward to see my trans chara's birth sex listed as 'bodytype' (I say it's just an unnecessary line there, the pronouns are enough), plus I'd really love it if we could see MC's age listed there for each time period as the time jumps can get a little confusing.
Either way, I hope your passion for this project never wanes! I hope to see it finished one day :)

For me it downloads but it’s this weird 36 byte file, and when i upload the file to the game nothing happens, the progress doesn’t return.
